This happened in 2013 as well! Check it out!
I am taking a page from all my close photographer friends and am working on being more diligent about blogging!
I find that there is always an excuse not to get this part of my job done, but I also realized that I learn so much with every event I do. I learn about my craft, my colleagues, and even my very own life. Why not share it and keep these stories alive?
Since my last entry in July 2013 about Kristen and Alex's Omaha wedding, I have been quite busy and all over the place, so this will be a short recap of our 2013 and start of 2014 adventures...
July 2013 - Arizona Charter Schools Association, Educator Summit in Phoenix, AZ
August 2013 - Heather Madril and Chad Straube Wedding in Scottsdale, AZ
*A great celebration! Man these people know how to party! Thank you to Zuzu's Petals and Celebrations in Paper for another job well done. My pal, Rachel Solomon Photography knocked it out of the park, once again capturing the amazing beauty and love of this couple as well as all the details of the day. What a great team! (Can't forget my day-of assistants, Katie Heller and Samantha Rosenthal, thanks ladies!)
Fall 2013 - Travel, plan, assist. Travel, plan, assist. Repeat.
*The Fall brought me to Seattle a few times as well as San Diego to plan, in both cities, a couple of really great weddings! Though the Seattle wedding is now complete, I am really looking forward to celebrating with Mackenzie and Dan in San Diego come September 2014!
*It is always a great day when I get to join forces with one Mrs. Annie Ohman of Annie O's Event Planning. I was able to be by her side to help her with two of her weddings this Fall in Scottsdale, AZ. It isn't always that you find someone in your same profession that you work so well with. We are not in competition with one another, rather are a support to each other. I am forever grateful for this woman who I look up to and respect with all my heart, not only as an event professional, but as a human being. I love you Annie!
*My Fall continued with planning and executing the Arizona Charter Schools Association Business Conference in Phoenix, AZ.
November 2013 - Arizona Charter Schools Association, Business Summit in Phoenix, AZ
January 2014 - National School Choice Week National Tour of Events
*I was so privileged to be asked to join the NSCW Team to help run the 14-city National Tour of Events. This was my first taste of what it was like to run a fast moving campaign. We started in New Jersey and headed down the coast, then all the way across through Texas, and eventually landing in San Francisco. I can't begin to tell you how awesome this experience was. Awesome and exhausting. This pretty much sums it up...
February 2014 - Kaitlyn Myers and Timothy O'Connell's Wedding in Tempe, AZ
*This couple was beyond adorable. The biggest shout-out to this wedding goes to my day-of assistant, Nicole Denison. I was running a 103.5 fever and had the flu of all flus. She was an awesome support and I could not have completed this highly detailed wedding without her. It is always fun to work with new vendors, like Man in the Moon Studios, and this time was no different. The setting was ASU Old Main, a special place for the couple. At the same time, it is always great to work with my own team, and at this wedding my lovely Carly G Videography was there to share the day with!
Well friends, that brings us to now. Stay tuned for more postings on our future events, I can't wait to share them with you.
In the meantime, be good to yourselves, love one another, and make sure to laugh at least once today. Let your everyday be a celebration, not necessarily of grand proportions, but of small victories.
